When Hearing Aids Are Not Enough—
Assistive Devices to Help You Hear Better
Presenter: Neil Bauman, Ph.D.
Hard of hearing people often lament, “Hearing aids don't work well for me,
particularly in noisy places such as while driving in the car or talking in
noisy restaurants.” They then ask, “What can I do in order to hear my spouse
under such conditions? Being unable to communicate freely is putting a strain on
our marriage. Can you help me?”
Presenter Dr. Neil replies, “I know exactly what you mean. I've been there
too. The good news is that you don't have to struggle to hear any longer. There
are a number of solutions to these and other difficult listening situations.”
In his presentation, Dr. Neil reveals a well-kept secret—how in difficult listening situations, Assistive
Listening Devices (ALDs), not hearing aids, are often the best answer. He also
explains how you can use some of these devices to turn your
existing hearing aids into “super aids.”
At this presentation, you can see (and touch and try) some of these marvelous devices
and learn how they can help you better cope with your hearing loss. To book Dr. Neil to speak
