Alarm Clocks

ClearSounds SW200 ShakeUp to WakeUp Alarm Clock with Bed-shaker

The ClearSounds® SW200 Alarm Clock is a dual alarm clock with not just one, but four different alerting options to best fit your needs including: bed shaker, sound, built-in LCD "strobe" light and flashing bed-table lamp. The alerting sound is adjustable in both volume (up to 87dB) and in pitch. This is important to those with hearing losses, as certain tones may be difficult to hear.

  • Uses 520 Hz Square Wave Technology: For people who really need an alarm clock to wake up such as heavy sleepers, people with hearing loss, children and young adults, older adults and people on medication, the traditional high pitched frequencies used in traditional alarm clocks are not very effective, and often do not wake up the person. In fact tens of millions of adults and children have difficulty waking up using traditional high frequency alarm clocks.

The good news is that studies have proven the 520 Hz square-wave sound pattern built into this alarm clock is the most effective sound to waken people. You will almost certainly not sleep through this alarm clock sounding!

  • ShakeUp to WakeUp: In addition to the 520 Hz square wave sound, this alarm clock has a bed shaker. Other studies have proven that intermittent bed shakers are the most effective way to wake up. Combined with the 520 Hz square wave sound, virtually everyone will wake up when this alarm clock goes off.

  • Visual Alerts: If you are a visual person, you can get two different visual alerting signals. One is the built-in white LED "strobe" lights to grab your attention. Two, you can plug in any bed-table lamp and it will blink to alert you. This is especially useful if you are already up and getting dressed when the phone rings for example. You won't feel the bed shaker going off, but you'll see the lights flashing.

Separate Alarms Can Wake Each Spouse Individually: Get an extra bed shaker for the ShakeUp to WakeUp Alarm Clock. Then you can have his and hers bed shakers to wake you up at different times. Each bed shaker operates independently. You can set different tones too—so you wake up to one tone pattern and your spouse to another. This is the only alarm clock with this dual-alarm/dual bed-shaker feature. (1 bed shaker is included with the alarm clock.) You can order a second bed shaker for only $29.95. • Choose How You Want to Wake Up: You have a choice of which alerting functions you want to use to wake yourself up. You can choose any combination of loud tone, bed shaker, built-in LED strobe lights or bed-table lamp flashing.

  • Snooze Alarm: Catch 5 more minutes sleep—just hit the snooze alarm. It will activate again in 5 minutes. If you really don't want to get up you can continue to hit the snooze alarm for a total of 2 hours before it will finally turn itself off.

  • Alarm Off: When you choose to get up, simply press the "Set Alarm" key once. It will turn off the alarm and reset it to activate at the same time the next day.

  • Large Easy-to-Read LCD Display: The LCD display has giant red numbers (1¾" high). This makes them easy to read without your glasses. Dimmer switch on the back sets the brightness to either full or half brightness so the light won't disturb your sleep.

  • Alerts You to Your Phone Ringing: Plug the phone line into the back of your alarm clock and it will also alert you whenever your phone rings. Comes with a long phone cord (~10') to reach the wall jack, and a short cord (9") if you already have your phone beside the alarm clock.

  • Sets Time Automatically: If you subscribe to Caller ID service though your telephone service provider, this clock will automatically set the correct time when you connect it to the telephone line.

  • Pattern Control: You can choose from three sound patterns for each alarm. For example, you can have the tone set to the 520 Hz frequency and the volume wide open to "shoot you right out of bed" when the alarm goes off, or you could choose a gentle three-step pattern that starts out intermittent and soft and if you don't respond within a few seconds, changes pattern and is louder and less intermittent. If you still don't respond it goes to full volume and a continuous "medley of sounds" pattern which is bound to get your attention.

  • Manual: Comes with easy-to-read manual that leads you step by step through the various steps in setting up your new dual alarm clock . Click here to read the User Manual.

  • Large, easy-to-operate keys

  • Dimensions: 7.5" x 4.25" x 2.25"
